Episode 5

With some small sound issues going on, this is episode 5. We cannot understand why the quality drastically changed from last week to this week... we had a pre-show meeting this time and next week's pre-show meeting will include a sound check among other things. We're almost perfect, I promise... we just have a little bit more experimentation to go through. Below are the show notes for this week:

  • Daeva, Gangrel, Mekhet, Nosferatu and Ventrue (Oh My!) overview and discussion
  • No Creating a Chronicle segment this week, sorry. Busy week.
  • Tricia's Barkery.com
  • Lime Flavored.com
  • World of Darkness.com
  • Running time is 1:06:21 (Like this, let us know at podcastofdarkness@gmail.com)
  • Contest EXTENDED! New prize package: (Candy Bar, 1/2 pound of dog treats and a t-shirt from the Podcast of Darkness store... which is coming soon)

Episode 4 - New? Start here!

Of all of the podcasts thus far, episode 4 is our best in our humble opinions. The other three had some issue or another but this one is issue free. Episode 4 and on should be issue free.

Episode 4

Hey, everybody! This is a little early, we had to change the time we recorded because of a problem recording on the regular night. So, as a bonus, you get this episode early. We may be making this change permanent or it may only be a one time thing, it's too early to tell.

So, here are the show notes:

Here are the show notes for Episode 3:

Bad Luck, Again

There is another synchronization problem for episode 3, although, the problem is not nearly as bad. I will be editing the episode TODAY and getting it posted no later than tomorrow. Since the problem is not nearly as bad as before, I can work with it a lot easier.

Next week's episode kicks off the "community microphone," which we'll all be at the same place at the same time. That way, there won't be any more sync up problems.

Episode 2

Thank you for checking out the Podcast of Darkness. There are show notes below and the listen link to download and listen to the podcast.

I also want to apologize for the unsyncronized third person. Robert's portion had an issue and we couldn't rectify it, so I hope you can still somewhat enjoy our efforts. Episode 3 will still be recorded and released this week.

Where's Episode 2?

Good question.

Here's the short answer: there has been a catastrophic issue with the recordings I am dealing with that has caused a MASSIVE out of sync issue. The files are sync'd up at the beginning but around 5 minutes into the recording, the files start showing signs of problems. After 30 minutes, only two voices are even close to being sync'd up.

So, will you hear episode 2? Probably, but editing just went from quick and easy to insanely difficult.

Stay tuned for more.

The Chronicle

Just a note, for those checking for the podcast: we'll also be stepping through the creation process of a chronicle, for those who want to Storytell but aren't sure where to start.

When I made the jump from player to Storyteller, I wasn't sure where to start. After almost 10 years of tinkering around, I think I've finally got the hint on how to do it. I'd like to help pass that on.

With my troupe (Aaron and Robert, my co-hosts), we will help you create a chronicle and will be setting one up ourselves in the process. Tips from the best world builders, city builders, plot creators and so on will be gladly accepted and greatly appreciated. All you have to do is email the "contact" on this page to the right with your tips, tricks and aids or send in an MP3 which we'll be glad to put on the air.

Thanks for checking us out and we'll be up soon.
